#FREETHENIPPLE

So today I made a boob cushion.

A few months ago I had the epiphany that my art and everyday life should start to go hand in hand, as everything felt so disjointed and I basically hated going to uni. To cut a long and dull story short I have begun making art exploring modern day feminism and what it is like to be a sassy 21st century woman. I've looked to social media and my highly skilled ears to draw inspiration from. And today I turned a heart shaped pillow into a pair of boobs with pom-pom nips.I wouldn't like to say what my tutors are going to think of this, but either way I think I have found my niche. Also check out the Free the Nipple campaign here. It's really good cause to get behind and hopefully we'll see some changes in a more equal system of censorship and legal rights for all women to breast feed in public!

  1. It sounds like a great idea.
I really like this cushion too. I found if I did a project I wasn't excited about because I designed it around them - it would never have worked. I stuck to what I knew and although they didn't find mid century print as exciting as me, in the end it worked out and they saw what I had been banging on about. Good luck!
